I bought in december 2007 a real junk Parsun outboard.
If you plan to buy an outboard. You should eliminate Parsun. They are a real peace of shit.
First I received my first outboard in 1000 pieces. They shipped me an another one.
Now start a real nightmare. First of all the outboard never run more then 20 minutes. The worst technical support told your problem is because you put synthetic oil in your motor. That was the problem of your motor because this oil his too much fluid. But it NEVER SAID IN THEIR BOOKLET TO DO NOT USE SYNTHETIC OIL. From this they told me the warranty does not cover your problem.
I bring the outboard to a repair center. They change the oil for an appropriate one. I paid $250 to fix the problem. Second trial, The same crazy problem came back. The motor stall after 20 minutes of run. I bring it back to the repair center without any support from Parsun.
So I bought a real peace of shit without any support from Parsun.
My recommandation is to never buy a Parsun product because if you have a problem. They will do nothing for you because this CHINESE company have a head center in British Columbia.
Think about it if you leave in Quebec.
